Zoo Games Set to Release Physics-Based Storm to Console

Cincinnati-based publisher Zoo Games is slated to launch independent developer Terence Lee’s hit, indie Storm, on Playstation Network, Xbox Live and iPhone this fall.

Cincinnati, OH – June 15, 2010 – Casual game publisher Zoo Publishing, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zoo Games, Inc., which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zoo Entertainment, Inc. (ZOOE:OB) is set to release Storm, a unique weather-themed physics puzzle game,on multiple platforms this fall. The mass-market publication is a result of developer Terence Lee’s win as the “Community Favorite” in IndiePub Games’ independent developer competition last year. The title is slated for release on Playstation Network (PSN), Xbox Live (XBL) and iPhone this fall.

Originally created as an exploration of the properties behind fluid dynamics, particle physics, and frameworks of rapid software development, Storm challenges gamers to use wind, rain, floodwaters and lightning to guide objects towards their goal in the game universe. "I've always loved physics sandbox games, but they’re usually were very rigid and mechanical,” said Terence Lee, developer of Storm. “I wanted to make something that was more fluid and organic, and that's how the concept for Storm began.”

The release of Storm sets a new tone for Zoo Publishing; in addition to the development and publication of casual games, Zoo sponsors IndiePub Games (www.indiepubgames.com), which offers independent developers the opportunity and tools to bring their concepts and prototypes to console. “While we have been extremely successful with our mainstream catalog, it’s equally important that we offer a viable shot at publication to independent developers,” said Mark Seremet, CEO of Zoo Games. “Storm is a perfect example of an incredibly unique game that may have gone unnoticed in all the background noise of the gaming world, but due to IndiePub’s developer competition, it has been duly recognized and will go to mass-market consoles.”

Storm will be available this fall on Playstation Network, Xbox Live and iPhone. For more information on Zoo Games, visit www.zoogamesinc.com. For more information on Storm and IndiePub Games, visit www.indiepubgames.com.
