POP THE CLUTCH & GO FOR PINKS: ZOO GAMES ANNOUNCES CHRYSLER CLASSIC RACING” FOR Wii™ AND NINTENDO DS™
NEW JERSEY (October 21, 2008) — Always wanted to hang with Greasers? The Joester Loria Group, the exclusive worldwide licensing agent for the Chrysler brand, and Zoo Games, Inc. today announced the holiday season release of “Chrysler Classic Racing” for play on Wii™ and Nintendo DS™. This exciting new video game features stylish 1950’s and 1960’s small-town America settings and surf rock sounds that will bring the player back to the days of saddle shoes, pompadours, and the Beach Boys.
“From the championship race cars of the 1950’s to the HEMI® powered muscle cars of the 1960’s, the Chrysler badge has appeared on some of the fastest and best-engineered automobiles ever produced,” says Debra Joester, President and CEO of The Joester Loria Group. “Zoo Games truly captures the essence of each classic car in their respective era in this engaging video game.”
With the “Chrysler Classic Racing” game, players are on a quest to become the “King of Cool,” and build street cred by souping up classic Chrysler vehicles. Players can transform their Plymouth HEMI® ‘Cuda or classic Superbird with chrome-plating or white-walled tires. Gamers can burn rubber at the race by spending some cash on hopped up engines and suspension or get hip by greasing up their hair, buying trendy clothes, or throwing on stylish shades.
“Working with the classic Chrysler vehicles has given us this great opportunity to create a fantastic racing game steeped in the golden age of Americana,” says Steve Newton, Executive Vice President for Zoo Games, Inc. “It’s been a pleasure to develop a game that will appeal to a whole new fan base—not just video gamers, but car enthusiasts who will love experiencing the greatest muscle cars ever created in an entirely new way.”
The “Chrysler Classic Racing” game will be available at major retail stores nationwide mid-November and will retail for $29.99 on Wii™ and $19.99 for Nintendo DS™. The game is rated “E” for everyone.
The deal between Zoo Games and Chrysler was facilitated by The Joester Loria Group.
